Wheaton man killed in four-car crash in Missouri

A Wheaton man was killed in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:40 p.m. on March 21 on Highway 76 about two miles south of Wheaton.According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 2000 Ford SUV, driven by Jared T. Spears, 26, of Monett, ran off the roadway and over-turned.James M. Bell, 51, of Wheaton, an occupant in the Spears vehicle, was killed. Spears was taken to Cox Hospital South in Springfield with moderate injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt.
