3 children hospitalized after head-on car crash in Florence South Carolina

Three children and a 64-year-old woman were taken to Three Rivers Hospital after a car accident Saturday morning at the intersection of Lutz and Mintdale roads, according to a news release by the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.

A vehicle driven by Melissa Sandker, 43 of Constantine was driving north on Lutz Road when the vehicle crossed the center line and hit a van driven by Jennifer Nusbaum-Suits, 41 of Constantine head on.Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the crash and seat belts were worn by everyone involved, police said. An investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.
