Glen Rock, PA: Susquehannock High School graduate died in a car crash at near Glen rock on Friday, April 15th, 2016

A recent Susquehannock High School graduate died in a car crash Friday morning near Glen Rock, authorities said.

Elise Delozier, 18, of the 3000 block of Rohrbaugh Road in Seven Valleys, graduated last year, Southern York School District Supt. Sandra Lemmon wrote in a letter to parents.

"Our thoughts are with Elise's friends and family at this time," the letter said in part.

The crash happened at 8:56 a.m. in the 3300 block of Seven Valleys Road (Route 616) in Codorus Township, police said. Delozier was an unrestrained passenger in the car.

The driver of the vehicle, heading north, lost control and crossed over to the southbound lane, went up an embankment and hit a tree. Police do not know what caused the driver to lose control.

The driver, a man, who was also not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to York Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

An autopsy has been scheduled for 8 a.m. on Saturday.

The area of the crash was near the Shrewsbury Township line and just north of Glen Rock borough.

Police are continuing to investigate.
