Joplin, MO : Several injured in weekend accidents on Saturday, January 28th 2017
A Joplin woman sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 2:50 a.m. Saturday on Missouri Highway 249 1/2 mile south of Carterville in Jasper County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
Elisha R. Mansour, 22, was southbound when her can ran off the road and overturned, the patrol reported. She told officers she would seek her own medical treatment.
• Two people were injured in a two-car accident at 3:15 p.m. Friday 5 miles south of Joplin on Missouri Highway 43 in Newton County.
Linda L. Crowder, 53, of Joplin, was northbound when she stopped in traffic and her vehicle was struck from behind by a car driven by Bob Barlow, 75, of Carthage.
Both drivers were taken to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin with moderate injuries.
• A Cassville man sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 12:50 p.m. Friday on Route FF, 6 miles east of Joplin in Jasper County.
Paul D. Cook, 72, was westbound when his car ran off the road and struck a fence.
He was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Joplin
