Conroe, TX : Four people dead in 3-vehicle collision on Texas Highway 105 north of Houston on Sunday afternoon, Sep 20, 2015

Montgomery County authorities say a 68-year-old man is in custody and charged with four counts of intoxication manslaughter after his car was involved in a three-vehicle crash that left four people dead.

Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack says three other people were hurt in the crash Sunday afternoon on Texas Highway 105 just west of Conroe, about 35 miles north of Houston. Two were treated at a hospital and released. The third was jailed.

Authorities say all four fatalities — two adults and two children — were in one of the cars and had been properly secured. Their names were not immediately released.

Prosecutors say the man in custody, Ronald Cooper, of Montgomery, also faces two counts of intoxication assault.
