Detroit, MI : 11-year-old boy injured in crash on Detroit's west side on Thursday, Nov 12, 2015

An 11-year-old boy is injured in a crash on Detroit's west side where the mother driving is suspected of being under the influence, according to police.

The crash involved three vehicles at the intersection of Greenfield Road and Margareta Avenue.

An older-model Jeep was heading southbound on Greenfield Road was making a left on to Margareta Avenue when it was rear-ended by a Chevy and then pushed into a Lincoln heading northbound.

The Chevy was driven by a woman police suspect was under the influence. Her boy was in the vehicle with her.

The boy is listed in critical condition but is expected to be OK.

The mother and the other drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
