Hartford, VT : Two people were injured in a two-car crash at Route 37 and Willard Road On Tuesday, May 17th, 2016
A two-car crash Tuesday afternoon in Louisville is under investigation. Two people were taken to a Vermont hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Just after 2:30 p.m. at Route 37 and Willard Road, a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Ivan C. Delosh, 18, of Kennedy Court, Massena, struck a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse driven by Marc F. Sullivan, 39, of Liverpool, state police reported.
Troopers said Mr. Delosh was heading north on Willard Road when he pulled out onto Route 37 and was struck in his passenger-side door by Mr. Sullivan, who was traveling west on Route 37.
Mr. Delosh’s vehicle was sent into the intersection’s northwest embankment. He and his passenger, Dylan Tyo, 16, of Willard Road, were taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt.
Mr. Sullivan was taken to Massena Memorial Hospital, where he was evaluated and released, troopers said.
Troopers closed a section of Route 37 on both sides of the intersection from just after the crash until about 4:45 p.m.
Louisville and Massena volunteer fire departments and Seaway Valley and Massena volunteer rescue squads also responded to the scene.
No tickets were immediately issued.
