An elderly woman was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon after she overturns her car after she veered off the roadway into a cornfield and struck a tree. Sharon Feikert, 73, of Waynesfield, Ohio, drove her 2008 Honda Fit east on Middle Pike Road around 1:30 pm. when she went off the left side of the roadway. The tree fell over and landed on an unoccupied vehicle parked in private drive, according to the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The crash happened just west of Ohio 196 in Auglaize County. Feikert, who was wearing her seat belt, was taken to Lima Memorial Hospital, where she died, the patrol stated.
