Munster, IN : Four Michigan men injured after their pickup crashed on Interstate 80/94 in Lake Station on Friday night, September 9, 2016

Four Michigan men were injured, one with life-threatening injuries, after their pickup crashed Friday night on Interstate 80/94, ejecting one of the passengers, state police said.

The 2009 Toyota pickup was traveling west about 6:57 p.m. when the driver, Luis Diaz, 21, of Kalamazoo, Michigan, lost control of the vehicle during a heavy rain.

Back seat passenger Alfonzo Balboa II, 21, of Kalamazoo, was ejected from the truck, and it rolled on top of him, state police reported.

Balboa was taken to Methodist Hospitals Northlake Campus in Gary with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver and two other passengers, Pedro Diaz, 20, and Augstin Leal-Diaz, 21, were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police reported.
