Jefferson County,KS : Motorcyclist injured after crashing into bus Saturday in Jefferson County on September, Saturday 16th 2017

A motorcyclist was injured Saturday in Jefferson County after drifting into oncoming traffic and striking a bus containing 13 occupants.

The incident was reported at 5:48 p.m. on Highway 24, east of Williamstown, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s crash log.

The motorcyclist, Erik M. Runyan, 45, of Bonner Springs, was eastbound on Highway 24 on a 2014 Harley Davidson. He drifted into the westbound lanes and struck a bus. Runyan, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was transported to Stormont Vail.

No one on the bus was injured, according to KHP. The bus was driven by Diane E. Helm, 55, of Tonganoxie. The passengers ranged in age from 7 to 26.
