One person was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Thursday.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the SUV with three occupants was traveling south on U.S. 301 when for an unknown reason it veered off the roadway and onto the median.

The vehicle overturned, ejecting one of the occupants. The person ejected, a male, died on scene, while the other two people were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

As troopers were investigating the crash, family members arrived on the scene and a trooper suffered minor injuries preventing family members from entering the crash scene.

The victim’s name has not been released, and officials said their investigation is ongoing.
