One person died Friday night in a rollover crash near Kersey.

The crash happened about 7:30 p.m. near Weld County roads 53 and 60.5, which is about 3 miles north of Kersey.

Colorado State Patrol spokesman Trooper Josh Lewis said he did not immediately have much information about the crash because troopers were still working at the scene late Friday. Still, he said, one person had died, and initial reports from the troopers on the scene indicated that the crash involved a large truck, possibly a semitrailer truck.

He said the crash did not involved any other vehicles or victims. The name of the deceased was not immediately released.

So far this year, 19 people have lost their lives on Weld County roads. Through this date last year, 22 people had died.
