Jackson County, MS : Woman killed in Hwy 57 crash on Friday afternoon, November 18, 2016

We now know the identity of the Moss Point woman killed Friday afternoon in a crash on Highway 57. According to Jackson County Chief Deputy Coroner Jason Moody, Yajaira Pittman, 21, was driving south near Bilbo Road when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a guardrail.

It happened around 4:40pm, and no other vehicles were involved. Pittman was alone in the vehicle.

The accident is still under investigation.

Pittman graduated Moss Point High School in 2015, and attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Expressions of sympathy from Yajaira's friends and family could be seen all over social media.
