COLCHESTER, VT : Pedestrian killed on Interstate 89 was lying in roadway on Monday, 6th May 2024

Police say a pedestrian who died on Interstate 89 Monday night was lying in the roadway before he was hit by multiple vehicles.

It happened just before 9 p.m. in Colchester in the northbound lane.

Vermont State Police say Bhim Jogi, 38, of Colchester, was lying in the travel lane along the fog line when he was hit by two cars and a tractor-trailer. He died at the scene.

Troopers say Jogi was wearing dark clothing and the drivers couldn’t see him.
