Las Vegas, NV : Man arrested after fleeing scene of fatal crash in North Las Vegas on Wednesday, March 30, 2016
A man is in custody after fleeing the scene of a three-vehicle crash that killed a man in North Las Vegas, according to police.
At about 6 p.m., a gray Jeep was traveling west on Alexander Road near Clayton Street when it crashed into a white Toyota Camry that was headed southbound, police said. Both vehicles then slid across the roadway, striking a tan Chevy Tahoe.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His identity will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s office.
The operator of the Jeep fled the scene on foot but was located and taken into custody by officers shortly after, police said. A passenger remained on the scene and was taken to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Three people inside the Chevy were taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
No other details of the crash were immediately available.
