LAKEWOOD, CA : 1 killed in multi-vehicle crash on 605 Freeway in Lakewood on Sunday, 2nd July 2023

One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday night on the 605 Freeway in Lakewood.

The collision involving at least seven vehicles happened just after 8 p.m. along the southbound lanes at Carson Street.

One person was killed and another was taken to the hospital with major injuries. Neither have been identified.

All southbound lanes except the far right lane were shut down during the investigation. They were reopened by Monday morning.
