WICHITA, KS : 1 killed, 4 others hurt in Kansas crash on Saturday, 27th July 2019

The Kansas Highway Patrol says a Garden City man is dead, and 4 others are injured after a crash in Finney County Saturday morning.

The crash happened at around 11:30 a.m. 1 mile west of Chmelka Road.

Officers say 22-year-old Mariano Rodriguez from Texas was eastbound on U.S. 50 one mile west of Chmelka Road in the westbound lane.

Rodriguez vehicle struck a westbound vehicle in the passenger side.

47-year-old Par Lay was transported to a nearby hospital where he died.

Three people suffered from suspected serious injuries.
