AMHERST, MA : A two-car crash on East Hadley Road on Wednesday, June 7, 2017

A two-car crash on East Hadley Road Wednesday morning left one driver with injuries that were not life-threatening, Fire Chief Walter “Tim” Nelson said.

The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the entrance to Southpoint Apartments, 266 East Hadley Road. The driver was injured from a seatbelt and airbag deployment, Nelson said. That person was transported by ambulance to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton for treatment.

Nelson said the crash, which is being investigated by Amherst Police, appeared to happen when one vehicle exiting the apartment complex pulled in front of a passing vehicle, and was pushed into a tree after being struck.
