A Florida woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Pike County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Leanna N. Pettis, 21, of Lake Butler, Fla., was northbound on U.S. 61, north of Connector Road, at 12:08 p.m. when it traveled off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle returned to the roadway, crossed over and traveled off the right side of the roadway, then overturned and struck a tree.
The patrol said Pettis, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries. She was taken to University Hospital in Columbia by Survival Flight.
