Rollover crash sends four people to hospital ,Two teenagers suffer life-threatening injuries
Two teenagers, thrown from the vehicle in a rollover crash, are in the hospital Saturday morning, with life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened on Interstate 680 near the Irvington Road exit. Omaha police arrived at the scene just after midnight.
Officers say Maranda Lynn Carey, 18 years old, was driving north in an SUV with three passengers. She apparently lost control when another, unknown vehicle, swerved toward her.
Carey's SUV rolled several times, landing in the southbound lanes on the interstate. Carey and a 17-year-old were thrown from the vehicle. Both are at Nebraska Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The two other passengers went to the hospital with serious injuries. One of them was pinned in the backseat of the SUV.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
