Fort Wayne, IN : Motorcyclist escapes serious harm in icy crash on Tuesday, 17th April 2018
A 57-year-old Fort Wayne man escaped serious injury after his motorcycle hit a patch of ice early Tuesday in DeKalb County, police said.
The incident happened sometime before 6:30 a.m as Randall A. Hire traveled along northbound Interstate 69 near the 329 entrance ramp. Officers say Hire came across a patch of ice and was thrown from his bike.
Hire suffered a broken arm and was taken to a local hospital, according to police.
