FORT LAUDERDALE, FL : Southbound I-95 closed in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, 11th February 2024

All southbound Interstate 95 lanes in Fort Lauderdale were closed for several hours after a crash Sunday morning involving six vehicles, including one that fatally struck a driver rendering aid.

On Monday, the woman who died was identified as Yanaisa Pulido, 23, of Miami, who worked as an EMT. In a GoFundMe, family members identified the woman.

The accident, which was reported at 4:06 a.m., occurred on I-95 near Marina Mile Boulevard

Florida Highway Patrol said traffic was diverted to Interstate 595 (State Road 862). Lanes were reopening before 4 p.m., WPLG reported.

The agency said three people were injured, including one critically, and all in one vehicle. Four others didn't report injuries.
