Centreville, AL : Driver killed when vehicle overturns, catches fire in Bibb County on Friday evening, July 29, 2016

One person was killed in a Friday evening vehicle crash and fire in Bibb County, Alabama state troopers say.

Due to the fire, troopers say the victim has yet to be identified. The body was transported to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for autopsy.

The crash occurred off Alabama 219 at around 7:22 p.m. when a 2015 Ford Focus left the roadway, struck a tree, overturned and burst into flames.

The crash happened near the 36-mile marker, about six miles south of Centreville.

Troopers continue to investigate.
