Two people were killed and another person was injured in a crash on State Route 840 in Rutherford County on Wednesday.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Ashley Johnson was driving her Acura RSX eastbound when she went off the right side of the road near Jefferson Pike.
The 27-year-old then reportedly over-corrected, came back onto 840 and then went off the left side of the road and crashed through the median.
The THP said Johnson went into the westbound lanes of traffic and collided with a Nissan Maxima.
Johnson was ejected from her car and was hit by a Ford Ranger. According to the THP report, she was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Nissan, 50-year-old Igor Tavakalov, was also killed. His passenger, 32-year-old Pavel Tolstov, was injured. Officials said they were not wearing seat belts.
The driver of the Ford Ranger was not injured.
