Bluefield,WV : ATV wreck claims 1 on May,Tuesday 22nd 2018

An ATV fatality was reported Tuesday on the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System in McDowell County.

The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources police are investigating the incident, said Katie Willard, deputy director of marketing and communications with the state Department of Commerce.

Willard said the fatality occurred on Indian Ridge Trail 14, which is a shared trail. That means it is also a paved county road.

No further details have yet been released.

Willard said the investigation is ongoing.
