Camdenton woman killed near Jefferson City

Chelsea Fredrickson, 19, of Camdenton, was killed in a two-vehicle accident about 10 p.m. Wednesday at Highways 54 and 179 south of Jefferson City in Cole County.According to the Jefferson City Police Department, a Ford Ranger pick-up truck driven by 29-year-old Dennis Leporin of Columbia was headed the wrong way on southbound Highway 54 when he hit a 2003 Saturn Ion driven by Fredrickson.

A passenger in the Fredrickson car, Jasper Richmond, was life-flighted to University Hospital.Leporin was taken to Capitol Region Medical Center.
