ASHEVILLE, NC : One dead, one injured after motorcycle accident on I-240E near exit on Thursday, 19th July 2018

The Asheville Police Department said one person has died and another was injured after an motorcycle accident on Friday.
The incident occurred on I-240E near exit 2.
Officers said the motorcycle crashed when the driver lost control. A passenger was thrown from the motorcycle and succumbed to her injuries on scene, police said.
She was identified as 55-year-old Theodora Sikora of Alma, Michigan.
Police said the driver was transported to Mission Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
