LAS VEGAS, NV : 89-year-old man dies days after two-vehicle crash near Las Vegas airport on Wednesday, 2nd August 2023

An 89-year-old man died nearly three weeks after a two-vehicle crash just east of Harry Reid International Airport, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

The collision was reported around 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Patrick Lane, LVMPD said in a statement.

Investigators believe Isaac Caldwell was driving a 2010 Hyundai Sonata south on Eastern and made a left turn onto Patrick. At the same time, a 2014 Subaru Forester was heading north on Eastern, and the Hyundai crashed into the Subaru while making the turn.

Police say Caldwell was taken to Sunrise with what were believed to be minor injuries, and the driver of the Subaru did not show any signs of impairment, so LVMPD's Fatal Detail was not requested.
