Fort Myers, FL : 19 year old allegedly confesses to fatal hit and run crash on Friday, August 8, 2014
A 19-year-old woman accused of hitting and killing a man crossing the street Friday has posted bond.
Jacqueline Hogan allegedly confessed to the hit-and-run death of 68-year-old Thomas DeSoto.
Fort Myers Police said a tipster led investigators to Hogan. They reported her license plate had been removed from her car and her windshield had been smashed, which was consistent with someone who had hit a person and then tried to conceal the crime.
Police said she was driving near Fowler and Simpson streets around 10 o'clock Friday night when she hit Desoto, who neighbors said would frequently walk to the nearby Subway.
WINK News made two attempts to get an account of what happened when DeSoto was hit on Friday, from Hogan's boyfriend. Bradley Stidham refused to entertain our requests for an interview.
