Yazoo City, MS : Lawrence Delaney, 61, died after a crash in Yazoo County on Sunday morning, Nov 1, 2015

Authorities in Yazoo County are investigating an overnight deadly accident.

According Yazoo County coroner Ricky Shivers, the accident happened sometime during the early morning Sunday on Deasonville Road.

The driver, Lawrence Delaney, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene.

We were told Delaney was driving a Chevrolet pickup and traveling south when he struck a tree.

It is not known if alcohol was involved.

The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
