Hamilton, MT : 9-year-old pedestrian killed in Hamilton at Gold Course Road and Crest Avenue on Monday, 8th July 2019 on Sunday, 7th July 2019

A 9-year-old Hamilton boy was killed Sunday in a hit-and-run crash after being struck by a vehicle while riding his scooter near Hamilton, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at Gold Course Road and Crest Avenue at around 1 p.m.

The boy was eastbound on Golf Course Road on a non-motorized scooter when an eastbound 2000 Dodge Caravan driven by a 59-year-old Hamilton man swerved left while braking and struck the boy near the center line with the right side of his vehicle.

According to MHP, the man continued driving after the crash.
