Bismarck, ND : New Town driver dies in collision on Tuesday, August 29, 2017

A male driver, 31, from New Town, died as the result of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 23, 1 mile east of New Town in Mountrail County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The crash took place at 11:39 a.m. Tuesday. The driver of the second vehicle, a 51-year-old woman, from Seligman, Mo., was injured and transported to Minot Trinity Hospital.

The male was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Spark westbound when he crossed the center line and struck a 2009 Ford F150, driven by the woman. The vehicles, which sustained damage to their front ends, collided head-on. The driver of the Chevrolet died at the scene, according to a highway patrol report.
