MAYVILLE, NY : Man killed in Chautauqua County crash on Saturday 27th October 2018

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Saturday night crash in Mayville that killed an Ashville, New York, man.

Investigators identified the victim on Sunday as 33-year-old Roger L. Beaujean Jr., who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash was reported on Saturday at 10:35 p.m. on Beaujean Road. According to investigators, a vehicle driven by Beaujean left the roadway and struck a utility pole, breaking the pole in half and causing the pole to catch fire. Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Westfield Police Department and the Mayville Fire Department.
