Stratford, CT : Workers cleaning up after truck filled with eggs crashes, catches fire on Connecticut's I-95 on Monday morning, Aug 31, 2015

Northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Connecticut have reopened following a crash involving a tractor-trailer filled with eggs.

The truck caught fire, but no one was injured.

The highway backed up Monday morning for several hours and extended as far as exit 27 in Bridgeport. The accident occurred between exits 33 and 34 at the Stratford-Milford town lines.

WVIT-TV reports that a forklift was brought in to remove pallets of eggs.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
