Pipers Gap, VT : Pipers Gap chase ends in crash on Tuesday, 28th August 2018

A Galax man eluding parole was caught Tuesday after crashing his vehicle on Pipers Gap Road near Cockerhams Loop at 10:55 a.m, according to Virginia State Police Sgt. T.S. Todd.

Jordan Allen Alley, 18, was at the Galax probation and parole office when instructed to take a drug screening, said Galax Police Chief Rick Clark. Instead, Alley fled on foot, but later was spotted driving a 2010 Chevrolet Aveo.

The car’s owner had given permission to use the vehicle to go to his probation meeting, said the police.
