A 42-year-old man was killed after a truck crashed into a moped he was driving in Moncks Corner.
The Berkeley County Coroner's Office says James Lee Garrett of Moncks Corner died from blunt force trauma.
On Thursday at 9 p.m., Garrett was riding a moped on Highway 17A when a truck making a left turn on Farrell Street struck Garrett.
Garrett was taken to MUSC where he died.
His death was ruled an accident and was investigated by the Berkeley County Coroner's Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
