Tallahassee, FL : Pedestrian killed in Highway 90 east crash on Monday, 6th April, 2020

A Tallahassee man was killed just after midnight Monday morning after he was struck by a car while trying to cross U.S. Highway 90 east.

Zachary Winston Sheldon Taylor, 24, died after a car struck him at Highway 90 and Wadesboro Road in eastern Leon County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A car driven by Aaron Nicholas Williams, 24, was traveling east on Highway 90 around 12:30 a.m. when Taylor, who was walking along the north shoulder, stepped into the roadway, FHP said.

Taylor crashed through the front windshield of the car and came to a final rest inside the passenger compartment of Williams’ car, FHP said. He died at the scene.

Williams, also of Tallahassee, was not injured.
