Prescott , AZ : One driver died after head-on collision near Highway 89 on Saturday morning , December 6th 2014

One driver died after a Saturday morning head-on collision on Highway 69 near Highway 89 in Prescott, according to the Arizona Division of Public Safety. The crash occurred just before 10 a.m. The drivers of the two passenger cars that collided were extricated from their vehicles by Prescott Fire Department personnel. Both drivers were then flown by helicopter to John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital. The condition of the second driver was not released as of press time. No other details were released. The wreck snarled traffic for hours. The highway was closed in both directions as two helicopters landed. After the helicopters flew to Phoenix, the west bound of the highway was re-opened, but the eastbound lanes were closed until approximately 1 p.m. source : 1 dead in Saturday crash
