Oklahoma City, OK : Man accused of drunk driving crashed through an apartment on Sunday morning August 24th 2014

Police said a man accused of drunk driving crashed through an apartment Sunday morning. Authorities said when the man tried to park, he jumped a curb and went straight into a couple’s apartment dwelling. “It kind of felt like a normal Oklahoma earthquake except you heard glass shattering,” Vineet Patel said. “You heard this shaking kind of thing and you felt the whole building shake.” An SUV had plowed into the apartment below him. The couple who lived in the first-floor apartment that the driver drove through, as well as Patel, were forced to move to different apartments because of structural concerns. Patel was a good sport, laughing his close call off and throwing it back to his roots. “I’m from New Mexico so it kind of seems to happen more often over there but this is the first time it’s ever happened in front of me,” he said. Neighbors were stunned about the crash. "The front seat was actually in the apartment,” neighbor Erica Camp said. Police arrested the driver, John Paul Lange, on the suspicion of drunk driving.
