RALEIGH, NC : 1 person seriously injured in crash between taxi, waste truck on Wednesday, 27th March 2019

One person was seriously injured in a crash between a taxi and a waste truck on Creedmoor Road Wednesday afternoon, Raleigh police said.

Emergency dispatch received a call regarding the two-vehicle wreck at 12:08 p.m., police said.

According to the driver of a truck that was involved in the crash, he was heading southbound on Creedmoor Road when a taxi pulled out of Mapleton Lane and attempted to go northbound. That's when the collision occurred.

One person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

Northbound lanes of Creedmoor Road are closed bewteen Lynn and Sawmill roads.
