The two most critically injured children who were in a traffic collision in San Bernardino that killed their father have died, the San Bernardino Police Department said Tuesday.
The children were ages 4 and 2, said Sgt. John Echevarria, a department spokesman. It was unclear when they died.
Their names were not announced and could not be independently confirmed. GoFundMe spokeswoman Jenny Perillo said a fundraising page has been established for the family. A Facebook post identified the father as a former member of the California Conservation Corps.
A message has been left for the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office seeking additional information.
The man and four children were from Bakersfield. One child remained in serious condition Tuesday and another suffered moderate injuries, Echevarria said.
