Easton, PA : Child killed in hit and run in eastern Pennsylvania township on Friday November 6 2015

A television station reports a child has died after being hit by a car on an eastern Pennsylvania road.
Authorities tell a 9-year-old boy was struck about 6:30 p.m. Friday on a Hanover Township road in Northampton County and the car left the scene. A county coroner says the child died at a hospital.Police say the boy was with two teenagers when they crossed the street on the way to a Wawa. Police say the boy was leaving the store and was crossing the street when he may have dropped some candy, turned back and was hit.
Authorities were looking for a silver Honda Civic or Accord with front end damage.
