Newport, DE : Bank robbery leads to high-speed chase, crash on Del. 141 on Saturday, 1st February, 2020
A bank robbery followed by a police pursuit caused a three-vehicle crash and significant traffic delays on Del. 141 near Old Airport Road, near Newport, on Saturday morning, police said.
At 10:59 a.m. Saturday, Delaware State Police responded to a robbery at the TD Bank at 2035 Limestone Road in Stanton.
David Hogue, 40, entered the bank wearing a disguise, according to police. He presented a note demanding money to a bank teller, who told him she was only taking deposits and did not have cash, police said.

Hogue then fled in a 2006 green Toyota Camry.
A trooper later spotted the vehicle in the area of Newport Gap Pike and Boxwood Road. The trooper tried to pull over the Camry for a traffic stop on Del. 141 south, but Hogue continued at a high speed, police said.
