Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 north of Blackfoot Saturday shortly

before 3:20 p.m., according to a press release from Idaho State Police.

The crash happened when Jennifer Leavitt, 36, of Blackfoot, was driving a 2004 Pontiac Vibe north on

I-15.

Leavitt slowed abruptly to turn left through the median and was struck by a 2000 Buick Regal driven

by 25-year-old Guztavo Iglezia, of Rexburg.

Iglezia and one of his passengers were transported to the Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot.

Everyone in the two vehicles were wearing seat belts.

This crash is currently under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
