Plankinton, SD : 59-year-old James Knigge died after Collision of van and semitrailer at intersection near Plankinton on Monday, Sep 21, 2015

A two-vehicle crash near Plankinton has killed a man from the town.

The Highway Patrol says 59-year-old James Knigge was driving a van that collided with a semitrailer at an intersection a mile east of Plankinton shortly before 6 p.m. Monday.

Knigge died at the scene. The 74-year-old Plankinton man driving the semi was not hurt.
