Oakland, CA : Pedestrian fatally struck by hit-and-run driver in Oakland on April 26th 2014

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Oakland's Temescal neighborhood Saturday morning, a police officer said.

The male victim was walking in the 5000 block of Telegraph Avenue around 7:35 a.m. when he was struck, according to Oakland police Officer K. Quintela.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene and has not been located, she said.

Emergency responders transported the victim to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
