Bibb County, GA :Georgia family escapes I-75 camper crash unscathed on Sunday, July 5th 2015
An east Georgia family of four escaped injury Sunday morning when the truck they were riding in wrecked on Interstate 75 in north Bibb County.A man driving apparently lost control of the truck, which was towing a camper trailer, and veered into a grassy median about a mile north of the Bass Road interchange. There were two adults and two children in the southbound truck when it ran off the highway shortly before 11:30 a.m., Bibb sheriff’s Deputy Clay Williams said. The camper, an older model, was destroyed.“It disintegrated,” Williams said.Because the crash happened in the median, the freeway stayed open, the deputy said. The people in the truck were from Guyton, a town in Effingham County northwest of Savannah.
