WINSTON-SALEM, NC : 1 killed in crash on Reynolda Road in Winston-Salem on Sunday, 8th September 2024

One man has died following a single-vehicle car crash in Winston-Salem, according to officials with the Winston-Salem Police Department.
Officers said on Sunday around 4:47 a.m., they responded to a traffic crash in the 1400 block of Reynolda Road.
When they arrived, police said they found a vehicle that had been traveling southbound on Reynolda Road had run off the roadway to the right and crashed.
Investigators said 26-year-old Elijah Pridgen was driving the vehicle when it ran off the roadway to the right, went airborne and flipped multiple times. Pridgen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Traffic Enforcement Unit responded to the scene and assumed investigative responsibility for the crash.
