ISSAQUAH, WA : Swerving Car Triggers 4- Vehicle Crash on Westbound on Tuesday, 8th November 2016
A four-vehicle crash blocked all westbound lanes of Interstate 90 east of Issaquah Tuesday morning, the Washington State Patrol reported. The freeway later reopened.State troopers and medics responded to the scene, just east of West Lake Sammamish Parkway, at about 8:45 a.m. after receiving reports of a blocking accident on I-90.A badly damaged car, along with a semi-truck, dump truck and Jeep, were found at the scene, said Trooper Rick Johnson.
The crash was captured on the semi truck's dashcam video recorder.
A preliminary investigation found that the car swerved in front of the semi to avoid a backup in the car's lane and then hit the semi, the dump truck and the Jeep. Luckily, the driver sustained only a possible wrist injury.
All westbound lanes of I-90 were closed at the scene for about a half-hour, then three lanes reopened.
Trooper Johnson said the accident was a good reminder to drivers to slow down and look farther ahead.
