Jackson, TN : Teens killed in Lexington wreck on Tuesday afternoon, March 21, 2017

Two teenagers were killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon in a wreck on Highway 22A outside Lexington.

The teens have not been identified.

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol crash report, a 16-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy were killed in the wreck.

The report says the Dodge Avenger the girl was driving lost control in a curve and crossed into the northbound lane, hitting a truck in oncoming traffic. The truck hit the car on the right side.

Three people, identified as Barbara Singleton, 46, Donald Cupples, 51, and Anthony Hays, 47, were injured in the crash.

Tennessee Department of Transportation has confirmed the three people are employees. They are being treated at separate hospitals for their injuries.
